Saint Anne Catherine Emmerich wrote The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ . It's about her visions of the Stations of the Cross. Mel Gibson based his movie, The Passion , on this book. You can read it online at www.jesus-passion.com/DOLOROUS_PASSION_OF_OUR_LORD_JESUS_CHRIST.htm . I couldn't find the book at Hastings, so I ordered it by phone.
I have just returned this spiritually revolutionary and life-changing book to the library. I didn't want to take it back. It has been around years and I used to own a copy but never read it. Then wasn't the time. Now is the time. A reminder to take responsibility for your own life and a strong suggestion to seek God's Grace.

When I look into the future, I am frightened,
But why plunge into the future?
Only the present moment is precious to me,
As the future may never enter my soul at all.
It is no longer in my power,
To change, correct or add to the past;
For neither sages nor prophets could do that.
And so, what the past has embraced I must entrust to God.
O present moment, you belong to…

It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow …
