How to lose friends and alienate people!

Dale Carnegie's Book is Common Sense but I couldn't see it before my break through because I thought that I was important. He actually goes on to say that people who become insane get a feeling of importance from that insanity. I suppose my story has given me something to write about and the Personality Zone has allowed me to feel important. I'ts true for me that I need to be heard and perhaps I never was and that was  why I became insane. I love the references in the book to the Ameri…

I have edited my top friends.

If you have fallen from my top friends list, please don't be offended. I have decided to have a reshuffle so the people who couldn't fit can now have some fresh air. Samuel Beckett 'And the heart that is soonest awake to the flowers is always the first to be touch'd by the thorns.' Thomas Moore ' If you tal…

To write or not to write?

"You ask whether your verses are any good. You ask me. You have asked others before this. You send them to magazines. You compare them with other poems, and you are upset when certain editors reject your work. Now I beg you to stop doing that sort of thing. You are looking outside, and that is what you should avoid most now....Go into yourself. Find out the reason that commands you to write; see whether it has spread its roots into the very depths of your heart; confess to yourself wheth…

Musings

Well the Dutch were unceremoniously dumped out of the European Soccer Championships. I keep thinking about Amsterdam Coffeeshops. It's a Germany v Spain Final. I'm sat in a public library and they're having trouble with their printers. Public libraries. It's where I spend much of my time. The Central and the local branch. What I have noticed though is actually how noisy they have become. I feel like turning around to the librarians and shouting Sshhhh. They seem to have lost any …
