Welcome to my blog. OK, with that out of the way, down to business.
From my reading on PersonalityZone, I see the basic consensus that we are born as one of the four temperaments. From birth, we are either Artisan, Guardian, Idealist, or Rational. That is, we have one of them down already.
Perhaps the definition of a true human experience is to acquire traits of the other three temperaments. We'll still have our basic temperament, the one we are born with, but a balance, a completeness comes from integrating aspects of the other three, preferably the positive aspects.
Most of us are either Artisans or Guardians, and in general this will be the majority of people that we will know in our lifetimes. As these two traits have positive qualitiies that the other can integrate reasonable well, then that balance with concrete language can be achieved. Artisans can learn enough from Guardians to face the demands of life, such as obtaining employment and paying bills on time, while Guardians can learn from Artisans that sometimes it is a healthy thing to relax and act spontaneous on occasion.
For Idealists and Rationals, they have both of these lessons to learn. I have to wonder if because they are usually in the minority if their own temperaments get swallowed up by a primarily concrete society. I know for myself that it has been a struggle with me.
The lessons that the abstract temperaments can teach might come at a later date given the fewer numbers. Fortunately this shouldn't be a problem as in many ways society builds from the concrete to the abstract. After all, we start with addition and multiplication tables instead of diving into functions and integrals.
I suppose that the optimal situation is that we stretch out to the other temperaments, all the while keeping in mind that when we unstretch, we are back to our foundation, the temperament that we are born with. A solid foundation is necessary, sort of like building on rock rather than sand. Knowing who we are is the first step to learning who we can be.
At least that's what I'm thinking. I might be totally wrong.

And I'm thinking that You GOT IT GOIN' ON! Your delivery is excellent! Thank Heavens for the Rationals! Without them we would all be stuck in darkness!
