Obama makes history with nomination

Democrats nominated Barack Obama to be their candidate for president, making him the first African-American nominee from a major party. In a carefully staged maneuver, Obama's defeated rival Hillary Clinton called on Democrats to interrupt a roll call vote and nominate him by acclamation.

Kip, I've been observing this story from the beginning and it has hurt my heart in soo many ways. The adult "child women" mothers are very familier to me from my own life experiences. My emothions have run the gaunlet. Sadness, fear, appalled, cynical, anguish and pride. I felt great pride in the Texas law enforcment's seizure of the compound and removal of the children and the courage it took for DFACs & the judge to attempt such a huge undertaking. I am saddened that the ruling was overturned and the children returned. Do I believe that some of the children were NOT being abused? --->YES. Do i believe that some of the children were and probably will continue to be? ---> YES.
