Are movies too expensive?

Seems like ticket prices keep going up and the "food" items as well.  Or am I just getting old?

Andy Roddick, of the United States, digs down to return to Fabrice Santoro, of France, at the U.S. Open tennis tournament in New York on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008.

Jelena Jankovic's leg cramped so badly, she couldn't take another step. Luckily for the No. 2 seed in the U.S. Open, the agony occurred during her post-match run on the treadmill. Anyone who watched could clearly see she left about everything she had out on the court. Jankovic outlasted Sweden's Sofia Arvidsson 6-3, 6-7 (5), 7-5 Wednesday on yet another uncharacteristically mild August day in Flushing...

Andy Roddick's brother is no longer serving as his coach. Roddick, the No. 8 seed in the U.S. Open, said Wednesday the two agreed that John Roddick would relinquish the role after the tournament in Washington earlier this month. The split was amicable and hasn't soured their relationship, Andy Roddick said after winning his first-round match.
If opponents aren't ready when Jelena Jankovic is ready to serve, she isn't about to wait. When complaints from her vanquished opponent Sofia Arvidsson were relayed to her by a reporter in a post-match news conference, Jankovic bristled. Arvidsson felt that Jankovic ignored her raised hand, asking her to wait before unleashing a serve.
Jim Courier can find only one possible flaw with instant replay in baseball, and it's purely personal. "I'm going to miss seeing Lou Piniella throw his cap," the former tennis star said this week at the U.S. Open. "I used to love when Sweet Lou would toss those bases." A huge Cincinnati Reds fan, Courier won four Grand Slam championships.

Models have the runway, actresses the red carpet and -- when it comes to showing off their latest styles -- tennis players have center court. One emerging trend is to incorporate a cocktail-attire look into their performance clothes, especially if they're playing under the lights at night. And, says tennis star Maria Sharapova, there's no better place to pull out the stops than the U.S.

The rings of the Olympics are not the only ones in common for Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and the Williams sisters. Chances are those tennis champions also share dark circles under their eyes, courtesy of the just completed Beijing Games and cross-continent flying. Fresh off a gold medal in men's singles at the Olympics, Nadal began his quest for his first U.S.
Marin Cilic won his first ATP Tour event Saturday, beating American Mardy Fish 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 at the Pilot Pen, a U.S. Open tuneup. Unseeded Caroline Wozniacki won the women's title, her second tournament victory this month, beating top-seeded Anna Chakvetadze 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. Despite having the crowd against him, the 19-year-old Cilic broke the hard-serving Fish five times, three times in the final...
