OK, so I'm an ENTP, right. I am an Inventor Rational. Just the name rational alone implies that most of the aspects of my life are dominated by objectivity, logic, and reason. Yet, I can never find my keys, never find my wallet, never find my cell phone! Seems to me that the rational thing to do is to designate a place for my keys, wallet and phone so that I know where they are. Actually I do have a designated place for those things, I JUST NEVER PUT THEM THERE! I'm a rational, but I feel so much like an ir-rational at times.
Or, how about this one! I can't stand when people use sarcasm to belittle me. Yet, my first weapon of choice when attacking others is.... you guessed it.... sarcasm! Seems to me, if I don't like being on the wrong end of sarcasm, I should not use it on others. Sounds rational enough. And yet....
Am I really a rational or an ir-rational?

On not being able to find things -- that's because your skills are more in iNtuition than in Sensing. It really doesn't have anything to do with being a Rational. Most Rationals wouldn't be able to find their own feet if they weren't already attached. On the sarcasm issue -- Idealists are more likely than Rationals to be motivated by reciprocity of kindness. Rationals are more likely to play hard ball. You just don't like losing. The Rationals I know have areas where they are completely irrational, or, as Michele would put it, they're human. |

You are my favorite kind ... human.
