This article discusses the connection between MBTI functions, and Freudian psychosexsual stages, relating to theories on human mating.
Comments are well received. - Thank you

Some interesting insights but any particular reason for your preference for MBTI vs. Keirsey's theories? To me, grouping a crafter artisan and a architect rational doesn't make as much sense as grouping an architect and an inventor. |

Well, depends on your focus. Sure I also think that Inventors (ENTP) might have more in common with Architects (INTP) then Crafters (ISTP). However, that is not what the article is about. I Group ISTP with INTP in the article because they have the same dominant function in same direction. According to my theory this is vital to partner choice. A Natural symbiosis 'Collusion' (Jürg Willi 1975) can occur between two individuals with different direction of their functions. All personalities have something in common, and something that divides them. So how you group personalities depends on your focus. There is no 'right' or 'wrong' way to group people. (When it comes to mating Keirsey also groups people different (exam. INTP - ENFJ)) ----------------- So IxTP match ExTP, because their dominant are the same, and has different direction. However, a person has four functions and thereby four possible collusions within. Perfect match for ENTP would then be INTJ, since all their functions have different direction. Therefore 4 possible collusions. And their focus is on the same collusions (not to forget). List of ideal match: ISFP – ESFJ ESFP – ISFJ ISTP – ESTJ ESTP – ISTJ INFP – ENFJ ENFP – INFJ INTP – ENTJ ENTP – INTJ |
