I have been dealing with mental illness since 1994. It got so bad that I ended up on the streets in June 2005. I was homeless for two years. In June 2002 I was accused of being a child molester by Kimbrook Manor. That is the apartment complex I was living in at the time. The police conspired with the to evict me with out due process of law. I tied to find a lawyer to sue them, only to find out that lawyers are afraid that they will lose their license if they take a case like mine. So I filed it myself. The courts are very protective of the police. They denied me due process of law.
I filed suit against them in federal court November 2007. The court dismissed it. I am now waiting on the us supreme court. to see if mental illness effects the statute of limmitations.

Geez ~ I don't know what else to say except I am sorry this happened to you. Knowing you are innocent I would hope gives you the needed strength to pursue this mess! It’s in times like these that we find it difficult to imagine what we can possibly learn! Remain vigilant! Azure

I am not qualified to give you advice so take this for what is it worth, nothing. You can use mental illness as an excuse or you can focus on your success of being your own lawyer. When you do focus on your successes, and learn from your failures, you could be happier. The book Mistakes were Made, but not by me, by Tavris and Aronson, talks about what all humans do: self-justify. The important point that you might consider, self-justification can be positive or negative. One can use a failure, however large or small to self-justify and generate a downward spiral. However, one can use a success, however small or large, to generate a virtuous cycle. You are the one who decides , how will it go.
